In 1935, during the Great Depression, community leaders came together to form the Sycamore Community Credit Union for the benefit of the people of Sycamore and the surrounding areas. In 1996, after having grown to serve other communities in the DeKalb County area, we changed our name to Illinois Community Credit Union. Though our name changed, our commitment to serving our community as a not-for-profit credit union remained the same. As our HR Generalist / Admin Assistant, you effectively administer all aspects of our human resource functions, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, compensation, benefits, payroll, employee relations, and regulatory compliance. You administer full lifecycle recruiting from sourcing to on-boarding. Ensuring that top talent is hired in an efficient and legally compliant manner is your goal. You conduct pre-interview screenings and prepare interview folders for the interviewing managers.

After onboarding new employees, you conduct new employee orientations and ensure that personnel are well-informed about human resource policies and programs. In addition to interacting with job candidates and new talent, you act as the primary point of contact for questions about benefits and other HR-related issues with professionalism, confidentiality and a service-first approach. You coordinate training for staff. Acting as a liaison between employees and management, you facilitate positive employee relationships on all levels.

You are conscientious about keeping employee personnel files protected, up to date and completing any required reporting on time. As directed by senior management, you participate in the development and implementation of human resource operations plans, policies, procedures, and goals. You provide clerical support to management by typing and assembling letters, memos, reports, meeting minutes, and other documents. Other responsibilities include scheduling and attending board meetings to record minutes, maintaining boardroom supplies and planning dinners/refreshments as needed, and coordinating travel arrangements for executive leadership.


  • Human resources and administrative experience
  • Knowledge about laws and regulations related to human resources

This full-time administrative position typically works Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.  Occasionally requires availability on evening and weekends.
